(Shanghai, July 26, 2025) — At the opening of WAIC 2025, Qianxun Position Network Co., Ltd. ("Qianxun Position") and the National-Local Human-shaped Robot Innovation Center ("GuoDi Center") jointly announced the release of the "Spacetime Computing Backpack," a robot central control integrating spacetime perception and edge computing power. This product will enable robots to achieve centimeter-level dynamic positioning and multi-model collaborative reasoning, allowing them to move from indoor to outdoor environments and be applied in logistics, campus navigation, autonomous inspection, and more.

WAIC: The First Integrated Spacetime Intelligence and Computing 'Backpack' Debuts

At the WAIC National-Local Human-shaped Robot Innovation Center booth, a humanoid robot carrying a "backpack" became a highlight of the event. Named "Qinglong," it is the world's first full-size open-source humanoid robot developed by GuoDi Center, officially released in 2024. This year, the latest "Qinglong 3.0" features high-performance integrated joints and the new "Spacetime Computing Backpack."

Recently, Qinglong 3.0 with the spacetime computing backpack completed a series of tasks in Qianxun Position’s Shanghai campus: delivery drones drop off packages, Qinglong receives and delivers them within the campus, guides visitors, patrols, and autonomously reports anomalies to the security platform.

Product manager Yi Cong explained that the backpack is based on Qianxun Position’s spacetime intelligence suite, enabling outdoor precise positioning, route planning, and stable multi-scene operation. The suite includes BeiDou satellite antennas, hardware modules, 24/7 BeiDou spacetime services, and a dedicated "BeiDou + embodied intelligence inspection platform."

The edge computing power in the backpack allows the robot to run multiple models locally, supporting both inference and edge-cloud collaboration.

Robots Need Both 'Big Brain' and 'Small Brain'

The new generation embodied robots, like humanoids and robot dogs, are shifting from closed systems to general intelligent platforms, moving from limited scenarios to complex, full-space environments. This requires both a "big brain" for thinking and decision-making, and a "small brain" for perception and action. The spacetime computing backpack integrates both.

In April 2025, Qianxun Position opened its spacetime suite SpatiX to the robotics industry for free, accelerating R&D. It combines BeiDou’s spatial intelligence, vision, inertial navigation, and other technologies to provide accurate, reliable, and safe outdoor positioning, environment perception, and map-based path planning for autonomous operation.

In May 2025, the "Genuine Object-Driven Knowledge" platform was launched at Zhangjiang Embodied Intelligence Developer Conference, initiated by GuoDi Center, Qianxun Position, Huawei Cloud, and over ten institutions and universities including Jiaotong University and Fudan. It aims to unify technical standards and build an industrial ecosystem.

As a core member, GuoDi Center and Qianxun Position jointly developed the "Spacetime Suite" and successfully deployed it on Qinglong 3.0, supporting outdoor inspection scenarios and promoting embodied intelligence applications.

CEO Chen Jinpei emphasized that the core challenge for humanoid robots is transforming digital commands into precise physical actions, which requires strong spacetime perception and control. The spacetime intelligence provided by Qianxun Position acts as a crucial bridge between physical and digital worlds, enabling robots to plan, decide, and control in various scenarios for overall system intelligence.
